This video features highlights from Richard Spencer’s engaging presentation at Vanderbilt in October 2010. The event was very successful and well attended. It drew criticism from the usual suspects, but introduced the open-minded attendees to an alternate perspective than the one aggressively marketed by most university professors and administrators. The event was organized and hosted by the Vandberbilt chapter of Youth for Western Civilization.
Get rid of the background music. It’s a distraction.
D Hodson… agree, and I’m a musician! I want to hear Richard, not some sort of soundtrack. Make it part of the into and outro if need be, but not over his speaking.
I second Hodson’s comment. This kind of background music is excellent for dramatic scenes, not so compelling for a college lecture under florescent lighting.
Amateur production values = amateur movement. Junk it.
The music distracts from the message! The message is clear and cannot be challenged ! The entire left wing agenda has been tried and it has failed across the board.
It’s been said already, but it bears repeating: the background music is distracting.
Good effort, but some criticism that is intended purely to be constructive:
1. Can’t really make out the graph. Edit in some slides from the power point.
2. Buy that man a tripod!
3. Background music should go.
4. Could be longer? How was did they arrive at the figure of 4% of GDP?
What Richard said in regards to social engineering in academia resonated with me. I attend an elite school in VA where I’m forced to deal with it constantly. The depth to which cultural Marxist ideology has infected the humanities dep. here is truly alarming. It seems almost weekly that one of my quack PhD professors pulls some bs abstract concept out of his/her ass that undermines the legitimacy, or even existence of, race, ethnic identity, intelligence, nation, etc…
The music in this clip doesn’t seem worth whining about. However, I would like to see the entire presentation. Where did the “SAT scores vs family income” study originate?

This presentation had no “teeth”. There are so many evils of afermative action. Showcasing more of the evils would have been nice. He seemed as if he was not prepared for questions. It’s a start.
I thought it was really good. An articulate, intelligent and reasonable speaker defending White interests – you don’t see that very often. Mr Spencer did very well IMO…
Excellent. How much I would have loved to have had presentations like these at my college. Sense and fairness is gone from academia.
The background music is fine at the beginning, but it shouldn’t be played throughout the entire video.
Yeah the music is not only distracting, it comes across as someone what ominous. But other than that I applaud you for this and I applaud Vanderbilt for allowing you to give this kind of lecture, which I had assumed was long since forbidden.
Class is a function of connections. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know. It is that fault line, class, which those elements who would be revolutionaries are working on to divide and confuse society.
The speakers presentation and delivery was professional and near flawless. I feel he represents a whole generation of lost white males who are being unfairly sidelined because of their color.
Yes, the background music IS distracting, and corny. Opening music too, for that matter.
Getting this message out, let alone the message itself, is so important, none of the presentation should look half-assed. But at least you guys are doing it.
